Post Meet Wrap Up: Regina (Oct 4-6)
Hello TEAM,
This past weekend (Oct 4-6), our competitive squads made the drive down to Regina and many of us had our first exposure to racing this season. The goal going into this meet was getting back into a rhythm of racing, while focusing on Pushoffs and Kickouts, as well as having fun and building some positive TEAM dynamics. Lots of fun was had in and out of the pool, but the highlight of the meet, other than the hotel which had an EPIC water-slide and pool, was getting to see all the athletes race their hearts out and showcase their skills and strokes - I was impressed. It was great seeing them in action and setting a baseline for racing. Looking ahead we are leveling up our training with a bigger focus on SPEED WORK while holding form under stress, more underwater work with some breath control, as well as establishing our own bench marks in practice with our test sets, which we will post a link to once completed with results and a brief overview on the purpose behind them.

Big congrats to every athlete that swam at this meet and hopefully we can see more athletes sign up for the next one. Remember its only 4 weeks until GoldFins Invitational (Nov 1-3) so lets DIVE in and get to work!
