Meet Wrap Up: Man/Sask Long Course Champs (Jul 10-13)
Hello TEAM,
July 10-13th our Lasers, along with many other club across Western/Central Canada, made their way to Winnipeg, Manitoba for the 2025 Summer Man/Sask Long Course Championships held at the Pan Am Pool! We saw TEAMS from BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and even Ontario, making this championships a much faster and deeper fielded competition, compared to the Winter Man/Sask Short Course Champs held in Regina this past March. As with most 4 day meets so much happened; some great swims, some best times, a bunch of finals, a few podiums/medals earned, some qualifying swims, as well as some heart-breakers and tough races/lessons learned. Our LASER athletes did an outstanding job getting up and racing, despite the less than ideal conditions of the pool - the pool temp was warm, the deck was very hot, and Winnipeg was blanketed in smoke, which resulted in some haziness even on the pool deck, but despite those variables our TEAM rose to the challenge and competed with heart and hustle, resulting in some very FAST swims, and some very proud coaches!
