Meet Wrap Up: Man/Sask Short Course Champs (Mar 19-22)

Hello TEAM,

What a FUN weekend, filled with lots of FAST swimming. Our LASER athletes did an outstanding job representing our TEAM and the results speak for themselves. Lots of qualifying swims, a bunch of club records and some pretty serious hardware taken home by our crew!

First up, we need to mention our superstar Man/Sask Award winners. 

Shelby Newkirk - Para Swimmer Female High Point Award Winner and Phillip Clark Memorial Female Award Winner! (Plus a couple Canadian records 50 & 100BR!!! - Let's GO!!!)

Bryson Meili - Para Swimmer Male High Point Award Winner and Phillip Clark Memorial Male Award Winner! 

Maximillion Zhao - Saskatchewan High Point Award Winner and Individual High Point Trophy Male Award Winner! (Plus his first National cuts, qualifying for Canadian Open in both 200BK and 400IM - Lets GO!!!)

Next, a BIG shout out to our two new 'BEST OF THE WEST' qualifiers - Roywn Petersen and Phillip Shorte - CONGRATS! They will be joining our other LASERS and heading back to Winnipeg in April to race some of the fastest age group swimmers in the country.

Another GREAT showing LASERS! We are now 4 weeks out from our home meet - Bridge City Classic, which is a priority long course meet for our TEAM, and its gearing up to be a FAST weekend. Stay focused on your training/goals, put in the work, and 'close' workouts, so you can 'close' races, and remember, the extras outside the pool add up - sleeping and eating well, will allow you to maximize your rest and recovery, setting you up and allowing you to train better (smarter and harder). Let's GO LASERS!!!
